
In protest to the shortage of drinking water, More than a thousand villagers of Hirbodan and Joosejan villages in Fars province, south of Iran, blocked the Shiraz-Bandar Abbas main road and clashed with the suppressive State Security Force (SSF) agents.
Through setting tires on fire and putting rocks on the road, the protesters asked for resolving their water problem.
In fear of expansion of this protesting move, the clerical regime dispatched its suppressive special unit agents to the scene for dispersing the protesters and for clearing the road by launching tear gases and shooting.
