For the occasion of Iranian new year, a gathering was held at the residence of President-elect of Resistance in Auers-sur- Oise in which the French inhabitants and supporters of Iranian Resistance from Val-d’Oise province and other parts of France took part. The French guests greeted the new Iranian year and wished victory and freedom and democracy for the Iranian people and Resistance.

In the beginning Mrs. Maryam Rajavi welcomed the guests, especially the mayors and the members of city councils, and appreciated their presence for participating in the ancient Iranian celebration. She said: In the era of mullahs’ rule, Nowruz is the symbol of confrontation between the Iranian culture and religious fascism. The people of Iran turned the Fire Feast ( Chahar Shanbeh Suri) to a protesting move against the regime.

She referred to the recent elections in Iran which was boycotted by the Iranian people and said: In the religious fascism rule, election means nothing. It is rather a show in which the mullahs have determined before hand who the candidates would be and who are to be elected.
