Kurdish parties in Arbil held session chaired by Barzani

Al-Sharqiya TV News, 17 Oct 2012 – Kurdish parties held a large session in Arbil chaired by Kurdistan Regional Government President Massud Barzani, discussing existing tensions in relations between the central government and the KRG and the dossiers on the Baghdad government crisis the Kurdish delegation will be taking with them. The Presidency statement states the objective of dispatching a Kurdish delegation to Baghdad is to warn the central government on its maverick policies that are not in the interests of unity in Iraq, and all parties must remain obligated to the constitution and approved by the majority of the Iraqi people.
“The Kurdish delegation will have a meeting with the National Alliance to stress on the KRG’s obligations to the constitution and the implementation of the agreed issues on the previous agreements between political parties,” the statement continued.
“Barzani stresses on unity among Kurdish parties and on unity in having one voice from Kurdistan,” the statement continued.
