US Secretary of State John Kerry landed in the Kurdish autonomous region today to conduct talks with various Kurdish leadership officials and the formation of an inclusive government.
John Kerry met with Kurdistan Regional Government President Massud Barzani at the Presidential Palace. CNN’s reporter Jim Schuto said Barzani has told Kerry “we now have a new reality in Iraq.” This obviously shows reluctance by the Kurds to place their future in the hands of the central government, CNN said.
