Italy has dispatched a unit of military instructors to Iraq, NINA, Iraq’s main news agency reported.
Italian Defense Minister Roberta Pinotti announced the dispatching of a unit of Italian Special Forces to begin preparations to train Iraqi Army troops. She also announced the Italian Parliament’s agreement to at the first stage dispatch 100 troops to train Iraqi Army and police forces.
