Dr. Ahmad Sulaiman, member of Economic Commission of Iraqi Parliament called the Iranian meddling in Iraq extensive and said: “Oil smuggling is one of the grounds of the Iranian regime’s meddling in Iraq. This regime steals the Iraqi wealth and uses it to back its its militias; this regime has become the Iraqi people’s main threat and danger.”

Dr. Sulaiman added: “Due to lack of a real government in Iraq, the Iranian regime has been able to carry out such encroachment. If we calculate this amount of oil it would amount to billions of dollars, but there has been nobody to prevent the Iraqi oil’s ransack.”

He added: “We have frequently discussed the matter in the parliament, but we received no response. The Iranian regime has harmed the Iraqi people, and the government’s reaction in this regard is unfortunately very weak, or no response at all regarding Iran’s interference.”
