Iraq protests Iran for ransacking its oil

According to Iraqi state daily Al-Sabah, the Iraqi Foreign Ministry has officially confirmed plundering Iraq’s oil by the mullahs’ regime and informed that mullahs’ regime’s ambassador has been summoned several times on this issue.

Al-Sabah wrote the protest letter of the Iraqi government was delivered to the Iranian embassy in Baghdad. Mohammad al-Haj Hamoud, Iraqi deputy Foreign Minister, said: The Iranian regime has occupied 15 oil wells at Tib border region in Nissan province in southern Iraq.

In a press conference, he said: In order to solve this problem, Iraq has sent several letters to the Iranian regime’s officials, but all these letters are left with no answers.

Te Iraqi deputy Foreign Minister in an interview with the US radio for Iraq and Arab countries, SAWA, said: Iraq has registered Iranian regime’s numerous illegal acts in Iraqi oil regions including expulsion of the Iraqi workers and preventing them to go on the oil fields. Iraq has delivered many protest letters to Iran but hasn’t published them and has repeatedly asked them for holding a session to investigate the issue.

He added that he had repeatedly summoned Kazemi Qomi, Iran’s ambassador to Iraq and had notified him of his protest to these illegal acts, but Iran’s ambassador has always evaded answering.

According to International Azzaman daily, Abdulkarim Luaibi, general inspector of the Iraqi oil Ministry, revealed that the Iranian regime extracted oil from Iraqi oil wells in the common borders and exported it to the international markets without Iraq having signed any agreement with that country to exploit these wells.
