Iraq: Baghdad protesters call on corrupt judiciary chief to step down

Thousands of Iraqi rallying in Baghdad’s Tahrir Square on Friday, August 28th to protest against corruption, Sky News reported. The demonstrators were demanding judiciary chief Mid’hat Mahmoud, his deputies and the head of the supervision judicial court to all step down.
This demand was made from last week and on this Friday thousands of Iraqi demonstrators rallied to emphasize on this demand because judicial reform is the first step to start the project of reforming the entire government.
The demonstrations began from mismanagement of public services and now they have gone much further and are demanding the reform of government infrastructures. People reject rationing the government based on sectarian lines, leading to corruption in all government institutions.
