Le Figaro, France, June 28, 2008 – Iranian opposition outside Iran gathered tens of thousands of people near Paris today to ask the EU to remove the PMOI out of the list of terrorist organizations. This gathering was only a few days after the decision in the same line by London.

Parliamentarian delegations from Germany, Australia, Belgium, Canada, US, UK, Iraq and Jordan participated in this gathering that according to those who held it the number of participants were 70 thousand people.

The sponsors of the event underscored that “three days before holding the EU presidency by France” this gathering “is specifically meaningful”. The sponsors said: “As the EU president, French plays a key role in the Iran’s crisis.”

The speakers talked in support of a “free and democratic” Iran, and asked the European and American governments to help to bring “democratic change” into reality in Iran.
