In an interview with Al-Sharqia T.V. on Nov. 6, the Arab League deputy chair Ahmad Ben Helli called the Iranian regime’s proposal for replacement of its forces instead of the US forces for Iraq’s security a clear interference in Iraq’s internal affairs.
The suggestion was made during the Istanbul conference on Iraq.
Helli added: These are matters Iraqis must handle themselves.
Many attendees in the conference reminded the Iranian delegation that the conference was to help Iraq not to interfere in its internal affairs.
