In an official letter to the UN Secretary General, the clerical regime announced explicitly that it would not abide by the UN resolutions on nuclear program.
The letter was sent to Ban Ki-moon by Manouchehr Mottaki, Iran’s Foreign Minister, and reads: Considering the unlawfulness of the decisions adopted by the UN Security Council, based on reasons put forward in this letter, and the contradiction of these decisions with the principles and objectives of the UN, the Islamic Republic of Iran will not consider whatsoever the decisions in the context of matters propounded in article 25 of UN Charter, and will not be committed to observe or enforce them.
