Following the condemnation of the Syrian regime by the United Nations Secretary-General for its blocking of humanitarian aid reaching the Syrian people and continuing its inhumane crimes in this country, the Security Council has started the administrative process of carrying Order No. 2130 in order to continue providing humanitarian aid to the Syrian people.
A high ranking diplomat in the UN Security Council said Valerie Amos, as the leading figure responsible for humanitarian aid, will deliver a report to this council detailing to what extent the Syrian regime has carried out the ruling and been obligated to. Based on this report the UN Security Council will specify future steps. Discussing the process of the ruling in next weeks’ Security Council session is possible, this diplomat added.
