Ali Shamkhani, former Iran defense minister and current Secretary of the regime’s Supreme National Security Council, delivered a speech in the southwestern Iranian city of Khoramshahr, admitting this is a city of hollow promises.
“Khoramshahr is in a province that has massive oil and gas reserves, energy, plenty of water, land ready for agriculture, historical sites and many other God given riches… the people of Khoramshahr are saying the status of the city before the revolution and before the war (Iran-Iraq war in the 1980s) was much better, and the people are right,” he said in remarks wired by the Iranian regime’s Mehr news agency, affiliated to the Ministry of Intelligence.
