Al-Baghdadiya TV aired a report citing Iraqi Parliament Security and Defense Commission saying Nouri Maliki’s security forces have arrested 35 bodyguards of Iraqi Vice President Dr. Tareq al-Hashemi. Among those apprehended is a lady who works at Hashemi’s office.
Based on reports published by this commission, arrest warrants have been issued for 15 other members of Hashemi’s security team, but they have yet to be detained.
