Ground operations in Yemen’s Ma’rib Province have expanded on Friday. Joint ground attacks carried out by the Yemen National Army, popular resistance forces and Arab coalition troops in Ma’rib Province have seriously grown and these forces are in the frontlines in the Jafina region west of Ma’rib clashing with Houthis and troops loyal to ousted dictator Ali Abdullah Salah.
Operations were also launched to cleanse the remaining Houthis and Salah troops out of this province. Saudi-led Arab coalition troops used state-of-the-art weapons were used to attack Houthi positions. Popular resistance forces and National Army troops in the mountainous areas are hunting down the remaining groups of Houthis.
Main battle tanks and other armored vehicles were also used in these attacks. The battles in Jafina were reported as very intense, and the Houthis were running in complete confusion.
Popular resistance forces and Yemen National Army troops say their objectives are much further than this operation.
