Dr. Ayad Allawi, leader of the Iraqiya Coalition and former premier described the crisis between Maliki’s government and the Kurdistan region, escalating after the dispatching of Dijla Operations Command forces to Kirkuk, as measures aimed at creating tensions to cover-up the central government’s record, Al Sharqiya TV reported.
The Iraqiya Coalition leader called for all forces to retreat from the disputed areas and to solve this crisis through dialogue.
All parties must refrain from making any threats or the use of force, he insisted, adding these actions are creating tension aimed at covering up the chaos resulting from the actions of Maliki’s government and will increase the Iraqi people’s suffering.
