A source within the Syrian National Council (SNC) told Al-Jazeera TV this council, in a political initiative, intends to establish a provisional government within Syria by the council president. This source said that this initiative will soon be announced officially. He called on the international community to support this initiative and a liberated area within Syria.
Abdelbaset Seida said that anything weakening this council will lengthen the life of this regime. At the opening of a general council session, he announced that the SNC is the main foundation of a Syrian opposition.
