Pro-Russian separatist leaders in eastern Ukraine promised to respect the ceasefire announced by the Ukraine President until Friday.
This decision came in the first contact group meeting with the presence of the separatist envoy, a European envoy, and the Russian ambassador and Ukraine officials.
“We hope in these few days of ceasefire we will reach an agreement in the  peace talks,” one separatist official said.
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko announced a unilateral ceasefire on Friday, June 20th.
