In a report about the calamitous condition of Iraqi women in Basra, the Al-Hurra TV reported: The organized killing of in Basra is increasing day by day.

Basra Police commander said: The department under my responsibility has official statistics that at least 15 women are killed in Basra under the pretext of moral and religious regulations.

This source added: only during this month more than 10 women were killed by unknown people and so far no one has referred to get their bodies. Murder of these women is taking place under most barbaric methods. This is an organized act.

Women rights’ activists believe that oppression on women is flagrantly increasing, and it seems that the rights written for women in the constitution are nothing more than handwritings.
