The Austrian Foreign Minister condemned suppression of Iranian women by the clerical regime. On the second anniversary of June 11, 2006 demonstration of Iranian women in Tehran which led to detainment of some of them, Foreign Minister Ursula Plassnik, declared: The Iranian regime must stop suppression of the Iranian women and annul prejudicial laws against them, Standard daily reported.

She added: The Iranian women have always suffered from discrimination and limitation of their rights. This situation must end.
