International Arab daily Al-Shargh al-Owsat cites a Syrian source of the opposition as saying that at the present time more than 600 IRGC forces and mercenaries are participating in fighting in western and southern parts of Syria. He pointed out that the presence of IRGC mercenaries in Syria is no longer limited to Officers and advisors and military combat field designers. This source, who is close to Syrian opposition, told Italian AKI new agency that the Iranian regime has begun to send at least 600 well-armed IRGC mercenaries to Daraa and Quneitareh.
