Syrian rebels in Damascus killed 35 Iraqi mercenaries dispatched to Syria to provide support for the Assad regime, Orient TV reported. The battles were near the capital’s Maliha region.
The rebels’ in Damascus said in clashes around the Syrian capital 35 Iraqi mercenaries were killed and two armored vehicles were destroyed.
In the meantime, the rebels used mortar fire and hand-made cannons to target Assad forces’ gathering area near the air intelligence center in Maliha.
