The recent meeting between Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the Iranian Resistance, with Syrian National Coalition President Ahmad Jarba in Paris has received widespread coverage in Arab media.

Al Jazeera TV: Maryam Rajavi, President of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, condemned Iran’s role in fully supporting the Bashar Assad dictatorship. Maryam Rajavi’s remarks came during her meeting with SNC President Ahmad Jarba in Paris and she called on the international community to support the Free Syrian Army and Syrian National Coalition as the sole representative of the Syrian people. Ahmad Jarba condemned repressive measures against PMOI members in Camp Liberty and called on the international community to guarantee their security.

Al Tagheer TV (Iraq): Mrs. Rajavi, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, in Paris met with Mr. Ahmad Jarba, President of the National Coalition of Revolution Forces and Syrian opposition. Mrs. Rajavi condemned the role of the religious fascism ruling Iran in the crackdown of the Syrian people and carrying out massacres and its all-out support for the dictator Bashar Assad. She called on the international to support the Syrian opposition as the sole legitimate representative of the Syrian people.
Jarba emphasized the Iranian Resistance’s solidarity and brotherhood with the Syrian revolution, reiterating both parties are in a joint bastion and against a joint enemy, struggling for a joint objective. Jarba condemned the repressive measures taken against PMOI members in Liberty and called for their rights to be guaranteed by the international community.
Mrs. Rajavi emphasized, “We can struggle with success to liberate our nations from dictatorship and the mullahs’ rule, and to bring about freedom and democracy for the two great nations of Syria and Iran.”
