In a conference held in the UK Parliament in support of Ashraf residents’ rights, MPs David Amess, Mark Williams and Steven McCaib along with members of the House of Lords including Lord Dalakia and Lord Maginnis of Drumglass emphasized on the obligations of the United Nations and the international community, especially the UK and US government regarding the protection of Camp Ashraf.
MP David Amess who chaired the conference announced 120 members of the Houses of Commons and Lords, along with chairs and senior members of a number of Parliament committees issued an urgent statement demanding the Iraqi government’s repressive deadline against Ashraf be cancelled.
