The statement by the Conference reads: “The Islamic world is living one of its most momentous eras. One and half billion Moslems suffer from the ominous phenomenon of fundamentalism; Islamic fundamentalism is an anti-Islamic heresy and a perverse and ominous phenomenon whose motherland is the rule of Velayat-e Faqih in Iran, and has turned into a social and political calamity since Khomeini took power in 1979. “
Emphasizing that the efficient solution to fundamentalism is the real Islam, i.e. democratic, tolerant and based on Quran and unfeigned Islamic texts, the statement points out: “The persistent struggle of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI) for presenting such an Islam, either in theory or in practice, is a brilliant symbol in the Islamic world.”
Mrs. Rajavi delivered said: ’ Ramadan is the month of virtue, virtue for acquiring emancipation, for rejecting evil and filthiness and lie and for excluding what is mostly harming Moslems and all the world; a calamity in the name of Islam but against Islam which is fundamentalism that is directly led by the Iranian regime.”
She added: “Velayat-e Faqih is the system of lie and hypocrisy, the religion of lie and misogyny and genocide and I have to stress that the Islamic fundamentalism and Velayat-e Faqih is the worst enemy to Islam and Prophet Mohammad.”
Mrs. Rajavi added: “the PMOI that has struggled against two dictatorships over the past 44 years introduces the brilliant and tolerant Islam, and hence enjoys vast support in Iran and in the Middle East.”
Mrs. Rajavi referred to the extensive support of the Iraqi people for the PMOI and the Iranian regime’s conspiracy against the Ashraf City and said: “After their failure in their conspiracies against the PMOI, the mullahs have now targeted the protection of Ashraf City. Transfer of Ashraf protection is a plot for massacre of thousands of PMOI members. I ask all human rights organizations to help and request you and all Moslems to rise in support of the PMOI members in Ashraf City.”
