In their 16th consecutive day of strike, the workers of Haft-Tappeh Sugar Cane Factory rallied in the city of Shoosh in Khuzistan province and blocked the main Ahwaz- Andimeshk highway for the second day.

The workers enjoyed widespread popular support during their rally toward Shoosh cross section and a great number of people joined them.

The demands of protesting workers include;
Paying of the postponed salaries
Ending to frame-up of the workers’ activists and summoning them to the so-called revolutionary court
Dismissal of mullah Yaaqub Shafii, general director and the head of factory guards for participation in suppression, spying and frame-up of workers’ activists.
