Various sectors of Iranian society staged strikes, sit-ins and protesting gatherings in Khorramabad, Isfahan, Zarand (Kerman province), Shiraz, Orumiyeh, Daiyer and Semnan against the suppressive and predatory policies of the clerical regime.

In Khorramabad, over 1,000 students of Lorestan University staged strike and demonstration on Monday and asked for dismissal of the University President and the director of students’ dormitory; the demonstration occurred following the death of a female student named Parvaneh Khalili who was electrocuted in shortage of medical facilities and physician.

In Zarand (Kerman province, southern Iran), a group of people of the township Raihan staged a gathering to protest against electricity cut off and blocked the Kerman- Zarand Highway.

In Shiraz, over 150 teachers gathered in front of Fars Governorate building for umpteenth consecutive days to protest against clerical regime’s firing the teachers and refusal of hiring them officially.

In Isfahan, a group of teachers staged gathering in front of the governorate building protesting the Education and Culture Minister’s remarks who had said that the contract teachers were surplus and not needed.

In Daiyer, the southern Iranian city, the people gathered in front of the Governorate Building to protest against the shortage of water, and asked for ending that situation. According to the received reports, water has been cut in the cities of Daiyer and Genaveh fro the past three days.
