In the fifth anniversary of June 17 semi-coup against the Iranian Resistance in France, on invitation of the French Human Fights League, a seminar was held at French Senate on June, 17, 2008, with participation of Senators, Parliament Members, most prominent French lawyers and jurists, chairman and officials of French Human Rights League, other human rights organizations and the Mayor of Auvere-sur-Oise. The speakers, revealing the clerical regime’s deals in June 17 attack, stressed on extensive and continued support of French people , parliamentarians, jurists and human rights activists of the Iranian Resistance and its President.
In this Seminar Jean-Pierre de Boi, chairman of the French Human Rights League, Henri Leclerc and Patrick Baudoin, honorary chairmans of the Human Rights League and of most prominent French lawyers, Mario Stazy, former chairman of Paris Bar Association, François Colcombet, judge and former MP, Kathrinen Legna, director of France Liberte Foundation on behalf of Mra. Daniel Mitterrande, Jean Pierre Berart, representative of French National Parliament, Jean Pierre Bequet, mayor of Auvere-sur-Oise and former member of the French National Parliament and Dr. Saleh Rajavi, representative of the National Council of Resistance of Iran delivered speeches.
The speakers of the seminar, referring to decisive verdicts of the British Court of Appeal and the European Court of Justice regarding annulment of terrorism accusation of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI) , stressed on the necessity of closure of the empty file of 17 June and support of the just resistance of Iranian people.
The seminar started with the speech of Jean Pierre de Boi, chairman of the French Human Rights League who referred to the blankness of the June 17 file and said : It seems that this file is supposed to be left open for ever in order to leave open the path for appeasement with mullahs. He asked for closure of June 17th file and said the French Human Rights League will stay beside you with all its capacity until justice is established.
Mr. Henry Leclerc, one of the most prominent French lawyers described his first visit with the Iranian Resistance members who had been detained in the June 2003 extensive attack and referred to the oppressive atmosphere by the operative services in cooperation with the clerical regime’s Ministry of Intelligence (MIOS) and said: The June 17 file has bee open in the last 7 years and many efforts have been done by the mullahs to fill it.
Mrs. Katharine Legna, director of the France Liberte Foundation, who took part on behalf of Mrs. Daniel Mitterrand, said: In the anniversary of release of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, we are insisting that Iran’s issue and widespread violation of human rights in that country be investigated.
