Prominent Iraqi Shiite clergy protested against Rubaie’s remarks on PMOI

In an interview with Kuwaiti daily Al-Watan, Ayad Jamaluddin, prominent Shiite clergy and member of the Iraqi Parliament’s Foreign Relations Committee, protested against Muwaffaq al-Rubaie’s remarks against Ashraf residents and said: ’There are many problems with the Iranian regime; as a result the issue of the PMOI should be looked into by taking this collection of problems into consideration.’
He notede these problems such as Majnoon oil field and arming militias and called on Iraq’s neighboring countries to help in preventign the Iranian regime’s meddling and said: ’This regime has swallowed Iraq and will swallow other countries of the region.’
Ayad Jamaluddin referred to the Iranian regime’s efforts for destroying relations between Iraq and Kuwait relations and said, “the issue is not limited to the Iranian regime’s influence inside Iraq; the Iraqis should realize that their country is occupied by the Iranian regime.’
