Addustoor daily (Jordan), 13 Jan 2013 – The National Council of Resistance of Iran issued a statement yesterday saying one year has passed since the forced eviction of Ashraf residents and there is no prospect for the transfer of 3,200 to EU member states from the prison that the UN Secretary-General representative in Iraq Martin Kobler deceitfully named a temporary transit location to send the residents to other countries.
To this day over 2,600 Liberty residents have been registered by the UNHCR and nearly 1,750 have been privately and individually interviewed outside of the camp. These never-ending rounds of interview have continued for some residents for 8, 12 or even 17 times.
This statement adds despite Martin Kobler’s deception and criminal measures to make Ashraf residents homeless, a shocking document was unveiled last week indicating the UNHCR had on 19 January 2012 stressed it cannot certify Liberty having intact infrastructure and meeting standards.
Furthermore, the Human Rights Council Working Group on Arbitrary Detention for the second time described conditions in Liberty as a prison.
