NCRI Women’s Committee expresses abhorrence for the shocking execution of Ms. Samira al-Naimi, lraqi lawyer and human rights activist

The Women’s Committee of the National Council of Resistance of Iran offers its condolences to the family of Ms. Samira al-Naimi, Iraqi lawyer and famous human rights activist that was executed in public in the city of Mosul by the terrorist ISIS group on charge of blasphemy. It also extends it condolences to all Iraqi people, especially the freedom-loving women of that country, for the loss of this courageous woman. Ms. Naimi was arrested by ISIS on September 17 after criticizing the destruction of religious and cultural sites in her Facebook. She was severely tortured to repent of her stances and was finally executed five days after her arrest.
Ms. Chitsaz, NCRI Women’s Committee Chair, stressed that the creation and expansion of ISIS in Iraq and Syria is the by-product of the criminal and sectarian measures of Iran and its proxies in these two countries.
Ms. Chitsaz emphasized that the only way to end the catastrophic conditions in Iraq and to defeat ISIS and extremism is to cut off Iranian regime’s long arm in that country.
