NCRI’s Press Conference in Sweden Revealed Recent Wave of Executions in Iran

In a Press conference in Stockholm, Sweden, the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) informed the public opinion about the recent wave of executions in Iran and other violations of human rights by the mullahs’ regime and asked the human rights societies to condemn the mullahs’ atrocities.

At this press conference, Parviz Khazaii, representative or the NCRI in Nordic countries, Prastadig, prominent Swedish jurist, Ezbert Holmstrand, veteran member of Amnesty International, and also Mrs. Mehri Omrani, former political prisoner, participated.
Mr. Khazaii elucidated the recent wave of suppression in Iran and increasing rate of street hangings and called it a sign of shake of the mullahs’ regime against the people’s uprisings and protests.

Prastadig, prominent Swedish jurist, condemned the mullahs’ regime’s crimes against the Iranian people and emphasized on human rights’ organizations’ pressure for halting executions.
Holmstrand introduced the statistics and figures published recently by Amnesty International (AI) about the executions in Iran and while showing a picture of youth execution, said: “Today Iran is the only country which executes juveniles. AI has programs to exert pressure on Iran to halt executions.”

Mrs. Mehri Omrani, one of the supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI) who had spent 8 years of her life in notorious Evin Prison on the charge of supporting PMOI, presented a shocking report on the situation in prisons and particularly treatment with women prisoners and children with their mothers in prison.
