In an interview with the French Arte TV, Professor Antonio Cassese, former presiding judge of the International Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia, said: “The European Union’s Minister of Councils must remove the PMOI from the terrorist list; difiance of the European Court of Justice is a flagrant violation of the basic principles and is a misuse of power.”

The Arte TV added: ” So far the European Court of Justice has ruled three times that the PMOI be removed from the terrorist list, but the European Union has defied these rules. According to the Iranian Opposition, this defiance is only for keeping the Europe’s oil interests; the European judges harshly criticize this behavior of the European Union.”

Professor Antonio Cassese, the Italian famous jurist, said: “The European Council of Ministers should have removed the PMOI from the terrorist list but it did not do so under the pretext that it had received new information from the French inspectors; such an action is against the order of the European Court of justice. Therefore, they violate flagrantly the basic principles; I even say this is a misuse of power. “
