
The large session of the Italian parliamentarians and human rights organizations, chaired by Mario Lana, the president of “Italian Lawyers’ Union to Defend
Human Rights “, was held to defend the human rights in Iran. The session was titled as “Prevent Executions in Iran “.
A delegation of the Iranian resistance headed by Ms. Dawlat Nowrouzi, the representative of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) in Britain, as well as Ms. Taraneh Davaran, the member of foreign affairs commission of the NCRI, participated in the session and delivered their speeches.
Mario Lana said: “Today, I would like to announce that over 100 members of Italian parliament from all parties together with more than 60 workers unions and human rights and women organizations and societies have supported a declaration to defend human rights and to stop executions in Iran. The declaration also supports Mrs. Maryam Rajavi’s call for an international tribunal to try criminal leaders of the regime ruling Iran.
Sergio Delia, member of Italian parliament and member of foreign affairs commission of the parliament, said: “If the Iranian regime still exists, it is because of appeasing policies of my country and the European countries. How can we tolerate our country to have relations with the pioneer in executions?
Rita Bernardini, the Secretary of Radical party, in her speech condemned the anti-human stoning punishment and the mullahs’ atrocities against women in Iran.
