Following the ruling of Court of First Instance regarding de-listing the PMOI from the EU terror list, , the ‘In Search of Justice (ISJ)’ committee, the European committee for removing PMOI from terror list, held a press conference in Brussels on Wednesday December10th.
In the conference headed by Dr. Alejo Vidal-Quadras, Vice President of the European Parliament, Mr. Mogens Camre, Vice President of the Union for Europe of the Nations Group, Ms. Beheshteh Davari, a former political prisoner, and Mr. Mohammad Mohaddessin, chairman of the National Council of Resistance’s Foreign Affairs Committee, were present.
Emphasizing that based on the court’s ruling the PMOI is not on the Europe’s terror list any more, Dr. Alejo Vidal Quadras said, “the European Council of Ministers is bound to abide by its commitments in terms of this verdict, must affirm it officially, and must compensate the losses inflicted on the Iranian people and their resistance. It is now proven that the EU Council of Ministers has violated the law and it is now proven that the PMOI is a movement that deserves to be supported. I sent a letter today to all European leaders and recommended them no to hesitate to put the court’s verdict into effect”.
Mogens Camre, Vice President of the Union for Europe of the Nations Group, said, “I talked to my government regarding the court’s ruling and reminded them their commitments before the ruling. I also underscored that it is our government’s duty to oppose any hesitation for bypassing the court’s ruling”.
Mohammad Seyyed Mohaddessin, chairman of the National Council of Resistance’s Foreign Affairs Committee, said, “The unprecedented ruling of the court leaves no room for the European Council of Minister’s excuses, and they must acknowledge that the PMOI is no longer in the terror list”.
“Any type of investment on the mullahs’ regime neglecting the increasing dissent and the explosive situation in Iran is an absolute mistake”, added Mohaddessin.
