INTV, 12 Oct 2013 – Iraq MP Mozhar al-Janabi from the Iraqiya Coalition called on Maliki’s government to release the seven Ashrafi hostages and said abducting these individuals has no legal justification.
He issued a statement calling on the international community to carry out their role in the effort to “impel the Iraqi government to release the seven detained hostages and guarantee their safety”.
Al-Janabi described this measure by the Iraqi government as “terrorist act and in violation of human rights laws”, going on to call on Iraqi and international dignitaries and entities to continue their efforts for the release of these hostages and not succumb in this regard.
