Iranians rally in Stockholm, London, and Washington for ending Ashraf siege

In continuance of the worldwide protest against Ashraf siege, Iranians and families of Ashraf residents staged demonstration in Stockholm, London, and Washington and asked for implementation of the EP resolution and international ratifications for guaranteeing Ashraf residents.

In Stockholm, the demonstration of Iranian Resistance supporters was held in front of the Iraqi embassy. The participants asked the Iraqi government to recognize legal rights of Ashraf residents and to annul all limitations imposed on them. The demonstrators chanted “Follow the European Parliament Resolution Now!”
The solidarity message of the Swedish Association of Peace and Solidarity was read out in the demonstration.

In London, the demonstration was held outside Iraqi embassy in London. The demonstrators strongly condemned some Iraqi officials for carrying out the Iranian regime’s orders and for repeating its fabrications, and asked for lifting restrictions and acknowledging EP resolution and international conventions by the Iraqi government.
A member of Ashraf residents’ families read a message for commemoration of martyrdom of the founders of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI) on May 25, 1972.

In Washington, the demonstrators staged their rally in front of the Iraqi embassy and asked for ending the limitations against Ashraf City dictated by the clerical dictatorship.

Also the 113rd day of demonstration outside the White House was held by Iranians. In this demonstration the letter of Mr. Dave Jones, US Congressman (D) from Sacramento, California in defense of Ashraf residents was read out.
This letter, addressing General Odierno, partly reads: “Hereby, I want to express my concern of the reports regarding of lack of necessary protection of the refugees of Camp Ashraf in Iraq who were protected since July 2004 by the United States government…The residents of Camp Ashraf in Iraq have been attacked numerously by the Iranian government and the Quds Force of the IRGC; these attacks included abduction, explosion of water supply pump, and missile attack. It is very important that Ashraf residents be protected. The United States must take measures with respect to its international commitments and obligations with regard to Ashraf residents as outlined in the Fourth Geneva Convention.”

In this demonstration, the solidarity message of the Iranian community in Virginian was read out.
