International call for UN intervention to lift inhumane siege on Ashraf

The God Believers Association of India, the Egyptian Center for the Expansion of Human Rights and the Democracy Development Network in Iraq issued a call for the inhumane siege imposed on Camp Ashraf to be lifted immediately.
In a letter to the UN Secretary General’s Special Representative and UNAMI chief, Dr. Raj Baldev, Cosmo Theorist and Lead Man of GBA wrote while the UN has the enormous responsibility to protect human rights and States are obligated to follow the UN’s orders, it is very shocking that the Iraqi government is continuously committing crimes against Ashraf residents. The Iraqi government has imposed extreme prohibitions on Ashraf regarding the delivery of medicine and essential necessities. Such a behavior clearly shows that the Iraqi government does not respect its international commitments, Baldev added. Therefore, we expect from the UN to rise to its obligations and prevent the Iraqi government’s vicious behavior, the GBA leader continued.
The Egyptian Center for the Expansion of Human Rights along with the Democracy Development Network in Iraq wrote separate letters requesting active intervention by the UNAMI chief to lift the cruel siege imposed on Ashraf. These organizations called on UNAMI to force the Iraqi government to bring an end to this inhumane siege and psychological torture of Ashraf residents.
