In a gathering on the occasion of “Iran’s Students Day”, hundreds of Iraqi intellectual and patriotic women from different provinces including Baghdad, Karbala, Nasseriya, Al-Anbar, Kirkuk, Sulaymaniya, Mosul and Diyala, announced their solidarity with the Iranian students and also congratulated the PMOI the British Court’s verdict for annulment of the PMOI’s terrorist label.

In this gathering, first one of the members of executive committee welcomed the participants, commemorated Dec. 7th, Student Day, and congratulated the British Court’s verdict for annulment of the PMOI from the British terrorist list.
A number of participants including Laila Ali, from Baghdad’s women societies, , Da’a Ahmad, Diyala University student, Saham Abdullah Kadhim, member of Bar Association at northern Iraq, and Sarab Khalaf Mahmoud, chairwoman of Diyala’s Democratic Women Society delivered speeches and announced their solidarity with the Iranian students and condemned any kind of meddling in Iraqi Universities.

Underlining the fact that the present Iraqi government represents the mullahs’ regime and has done nothing in favor of Iraqi national interests, and its efforts were only to satisfy Tehran’s rulers, the speakers congratulated the PMOI on the British Court’s verdict removing the PMOI from the terrorist list, and reciprocally called the terrorist designation of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps and Qods Force a big blow to the Iranian regime’s expansionist plans.

At the end, the resolution of the gathering was read. It partly reads: As it has been stated in the statement of 5.2 million Iraqis in June 2006, we emphasize: Eviction of the Iranian regime from Iraq is the only way of freeing our country from insecurity, killings and instability. We also support the statement of 300,000 southern Iraq’s Shiites and ask for the formation of a national salvation government and holding free election under the UN supervision. We support all nationalist parties.
