In an interview with Babeliya TV on March 2, 2009, Sheikh Kazem Aal-e Anizan, head of Iraqi South tribal council condemned Rafsanjanis trip to Iraq and said: ” Rafsanjani has directly supervised torture of 120,000 Iraqi prisoners.

Sheikh Kazem Aal-e Anizan said: Rafsanjani was the engine of a war that left more than one million and 50 thousand killed for Iran, and 700 thousand martyrs for Iraq. Rafsanjani is an undesirable personality, because he had a direct supervision over the torture of Iraqi POWs; the number of these POWS was 120,000.
The PMOI are in Camp Ashraf enjoy international protection according to international conventions. If the Iraqi government delivers them, and if the Iraqi parliament and the people of Iraq agree with it, it means that more than 3000 will be hanged on the Naderi Bridge of Ahwaz or in Qom, in Tehran and other Iranian cities. Arabs never deliver their guests. The Iranian regime is not so scared of the US or Israel as it is scared of the PMOI; the PMOI is very powerful inside Iran and has 5 million members inside Iran”.
