Iraqi MP Khaled Abdullah al-Alvani from the Iraqiya Coalition said the expulsion of Ashraf residents from Iraqi is an Iranian regime demand.
“Expelling Camp Ashraf residents is a demand sought only by the Iranian regime,” he said.
“The presence of Camp Ashraf residents has no detriment for Iraq or its neighboring countries,” al-Alvani added. “The People’s Mojahedin have not been involved in any terrorist act against the government of any country and they must have the right to remain in Iraq or transfer to any other country they seek to go to.”
“The expulsion of the residents of this camp and forcefully surrendering them to the Iranian regime will be equivalent to trampling human rights,” he continued.
