International Reporter, New Delhi 11 Jan 2012 – Dr. Raj Baldev, Cosmo Theorist, Lead Man of GBA and Founder “FAITH, Universal Modern Religion, has sent an appeal to Ban Ki-Moon, UN Secretary General by e mail today to use his good offices to make the Iraqi Govt. to maintain the proper level of human rights with the residents of Camp Ashraf in Iraq. Though UN had given all assurances for their safety but the Iraqi Govt. has rejected the norms and have taken the course of atrocity as usual against the residents of Camp Ashraf.
GBA has also sent a similar appeal to President Obama to use his good offices to save the lives and properties of the innocent residents of Ashraf Camp in Iraq.
God Believers Association (GBA) has held its meeting presided by Swamy (Dr.). Raj Baldev, Cosmo Theorist and who is also the Founder of “FAITH”, Universal Modern Religion, where he said today:
“The committee is really stunned to know how Mr. Martin Kobler signed a Unilateral Memorandum of Understanding with the Iraqi Govt. without the presence of any representative of the Camp Ashraf who were the concerned people?”
Dr. Raj Baldev, GBA Lead Man continued: “Unfortunately, the situation has just taken a reverse position; the Iraqi Govt. has openly rejected and are adopting the forcible course of action against the innocent residents of Camp Ashraf.
Despite the direction by the UN to Iraqi Govt. the human rights are being abused openly. It is a fit case where the intervention of the Secretary General is a must.
The announcement by the Iraqi Govt. said that they would not allow the Camp Ashraf Residents to take their personal belongings including their vehicles and other essential part of their daily use to the new camp, which gives a strong signal ignoring and disregarding your direction.
Does it mean, the decision was a forcible relocation or a voluntary relocation? It needs your prompt consideration, sympathy and action to safeguard the interest of the residents of Camp Ashraf.”
Background
The Iraqi Govt. have not even allowed a team of campAshraf engineers and their lawyers to visit and inspect the camp. A natural question arises, what kind of a voluntary relocation is this, when the residents are not permitted to visit their new camp and are prohibited from taking their personal belongings and vehicles with them?!
The real show of the atrocity drama is that the Iraqi government intends to forcibly relocate the residents, against their will, to a prison and it is unfortunate that Mr. Martin Kobler has signed a unilateral Memorandum of Understanding, in support of this, with the government of Iraq and without the presence of a camp Ashraf representative.
Of course, it is understandable why would the Iraqi government adopt such repressive and inhumane measures, but the residents can’t possibly comprehend why Mr. Kobler, who represents the UN and your Special Representative in Iraq, would want to oblige the residents of camp Ashraf to accept the terms of the MoU?
Signing a MoU with the Iraqi government, where campAshraf residents were not represented, is a unilateral and illegal act which violates the UN principle of impartiality.
Doesn’t this act show that Mr. Kobler has definitely and essentially forfeited his responsibilities without having acquired the consensus of camp Ashraf residents.
