The United States Congressmen from both Republican and Democrat parties held a hearing session titled as ” The best alternative for Iran and the outlook for Iraq” in Canon Building of the Congress.
In this session, simultaneously held with the US Senate hearing session to receive reports of the MNFI commander and the US ambassador to Iraq, more than a hundred Congressmen, Senators, US Congress experts and also Ayad Jamaluddin, Iraqi Shiite clergy and parliament member, on behalf of the Iraqi National List fraction headed by Dr. Ayad Allawi participated.
Dr Adnan al-Dulaimi, leader of the Iraqi National Accord Front and head of the Iraqi People’s Congress; Dr. Salih Mutlaq, leader of the Iraqi National Dialogue Front, Sheikh Khalaf al-Alian , leader of the National Dialogue Council, and Dr. Nadim al-Jaberi, Secretary General of Fadhilat Party shared their views with the United States Congressmen through a conference call.
Tom Toncredo, US Presidency candidate and member of Foreign Relations Committee from Republican Party, Bob Filner, US Congressman and chairman of Committee of Veterans’ Affairs, Mrs. Sheila Jackson Lee Congresswoman and member of Foreign Relations Committee and Security Committee of Congress, and Ed Towns, US congressman were among innovators of this hearing session in congress.
