Following the speech of President-elect of the Iranian Resistance in a parliamentary session at the main headquarters of the European Parliament in Brussels which was held with participation of parliament members from different countries and parliamentary groups, 34 senior representatives of the People’s Party and Christian Democratic Party group of the EU which is the largest parliamentary group, in a statement, called the EU council of Ministers’ measures in not implementing the European Justice Court, illegal and announced: PMOI must immediately be removed from EU’s terrorist list.

The signatories including three EU’s Vice-President, heads of delegations of 19 different countries in this group and also 6 deputy chairman of this group, announced: Ignoring Dec. 12, 2006 verdict of European Court of Justice which had annulled the Council’s Ministers’ decision of putting the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI) in the proscribed organization’s list, is aligned with the appeasement policy with the Iranian regime, and is unacceptable.

Reminding the Britain’s Proscribed Organization Appeal Court (P.O.A.C.) verdict regarding annulment of the PMOI’s designation and the call by 2,000 legislators and 8,500 lawyers and jurists across Europe for ending terrorist designation of the PMOI, these representatives asserted: “Even the broadest definitions of terrorism do not imply to this organization.” After the POAC ruling, not only the terrorist tag against the PMOI in Britain, but the EU’s designation is crushed too.
