End of Tehran Conference of Leaders of World’s Big Powers – Dec 1, 1943

Leaders of the United States, Soviet Union, and England ended their important 4-day negotiations on December 1, 1943 in Tehran in the midst of the Second World War.
At Tehran Conference, it was decided that the United States and England open a joint ground front against Germany in the next May to release the pressure on the Eastern Soviet Union’s front. Also division of Germany and giving part of it to Poland was agreed on; and it was decided that The Europe’s Slavs from Poland to Yugoslavia be settled under the domain of Soviet influence.
Also it was decided that after finishing the German war, the Soviet Union enters the war against Japan to reduce the US war burden in the Far East.
