The hunger strike of the political prisoners in Gohardasht prison in Karaj (northwest of Tehran) entered its tenth day.
These prisoners started their hunger strike in protest to barbaric behavior of prison guards on 10 October.
The demands of striking prisoners are:
1. Punish the orderers and perpetrators of attacks on political prisoners;
2. Put an end to inhuman attacks on the political prisoners in Iran.
3. Immediate treatment of Mr. Afshin Baemani, who is injured after the mayhem by the criminal guards and needs surgery.
4. Observe the rights of political prisoners.
The political prisoners in Gohardasht prison announced that they won’t abandon their hunger strike until they achieve their primary and humanitarian rights. They also asked All human rights organizations to visit the prisons in Iran and investigate the conditions of political prisoners, especially in Gohardasht prison in Karaj.
