Dozens of contracting workers of Semnan Thread Factory who have gone out of work following the factory’s closure on April 14th, have been in limbo even after a year since the factory have stopped working. The workers said the factory fired 50 contracting workers last year due to scarcity of financial resources and reduction in sale. At that time they force a large number of workers to quit and leave the factory before receiving their unpaid salaries.
The workers claim that the employers asked their employees to sign a waiver pretending that they had received the full amount of their salaries, while only a portion of their pay checks had been paid. Now the employees are left in the cold having signed the waiver, but not receiving any money for it.
