Clashes erupted at noon Tuesday, Jan. 27th in Fatemi Blvd between a group of Basij militants and young teenagers. The Basij militants and Suppressive State Security forces were aiming at plundering those youth by slapping hefty fines on them accusing them of listening to loud music in the privacy of their own cars. But they faced resistance and objection from the youth, when they tried to harass and annoy them. The young teenagers and a couple of other passers’ by rejected the idea of paying the fine and scuffles erupted.
Other people in the area who were witnessing the disturbance and the youth resisting against the Basij’s approached and defended the youth and scared off the Basiji militants and force them to flee.
