Reports indicate that 2,400 Tehran residents lose their lives each year due to air pollution.
Head of the Commission on Health, Environment and City Services in Tehran’s city council said, “Air pollution was the first case that was specified. Statistics show that in Tehran 2,400 deaths are reported due to air pollution, 4,500 people are hospitalized and 2,500 heart disease patients are hospitalized due to air pollution.”
