The 2009-2010 uprising showed that people seek the complete annihilation of the mullahs’ rule, Khamenei’s representative Mullah Safaii said at a gathering of armed forces.
“During the 2009-2010 sedition, we saw how the enemy brought people to the streets and attacked the velayat-e faqih (supreme rule) principle,” he said in the city of Qom.
“Today, the main challenges and problems are those facing our rule. That is why they say if Iran sets aside the velayat-e faqih principle, we will have no more problems with it,” he added.
